This pale green embroidered panel is part of a silk belt worn by the bridegroom during the traditional 12 day Peranakan wedding ceremony. At the bottom of the piece are colourful decorative motifs embroidered onto the base fabric. These include Chinese style vases with purplish blue lotus flowers inside.
