This Smith wall clock was used by the New 7th Storey Hotel for more than 50 years. The hotel which was located at Rochor Road, was demolished in 2009.The New 7th Storey Hotel was established in 1953 by Wee Thiam Siew. It was well known in the 1950s and 1960s as a party site for British officers who patronised its pub. The hotel also bore iconic architecture such as a spiral staircase and a manually operated lift. It was demolished in 2009 to make way for the new Bugis Mass Rapid Transit station for the Downtown Line.
