This stamp is part of a set of eight stamps which was issued by the Singapore Post on 8 April 2008 in conjunction with the opening of The Peranakan Museum on 26 April 2008. Each stamp features decorative and auspicious symbols associated with special occasions of the Peranakan Chinese community. This particular stamp features the lotus, which symbolises the summer and fruitfulness.
