This is a City Council of Singapore acknowledgement card sent to the Superintendent of the Markets and Hawkers Department.This artefact is part of a series of documents that belonged to Chew Hee Chuan, a Chinese immigrant who arrived in Singapore in 1935 at the age of 22 to work as a coolie.
