Chinese book, ‘Malayan Chinese Literature History’

This book, which is a compilation of more than 30 articles written by Miao Xiu (苗秀), was published by The Youth Book Company (新加坡青年书局). The author, Miao Xiu (苗秀), born Lu Shaoquan (卢绍权), was a Chinese editor and translator in Singapore. He was the first Singaporean Chinese writer to have his novels, ‘《新加坡屋顶下》 and ‘《残夜行》, translated and published in Japanese. He was also awarded the Public Service Medal in 1971.
