Philips is a Dutch multinational corporation. In 1951, Philips Electronics was set up in Singapore. It started as a small trading firm which imported and sold lighting products, radios and gramophones. Its operations grew over the decades. In 1972, Philips relocated from its rented factories, to its own factory site located at Toa Payoh.
