The H.M.S. Malaya was a battleship of the Royal Navy of the Queen Elizabeth class, named in honour of the Federated Malay States, whose governments funded its construction. It was constructed in 1913 and launched in February 1915. The battleship participated in WWI and played an active role in the Second World War, taking part in operations against the Italian fleet in the Mediterranean as well as carrying out Convoy escort duties near the African coast. It was scrapped in April 1948 at Faslane in Scotland.
