A lantern and mooncake stall during Mid-Autumn Festival

This postcard shows a small child at a shop selling paper lanterns and mooncakes. The lanterns, made using wire and colourful cellophane, are usually lit and carried by children during the Mid-Autumn Festival. Traditionally on this day, Chinese family members and friends will gather to admire the bright mid-autumn moon, and eat moon cakes and pomelos (Chinese grapefruit) together.
