This powder blue wine cup comes with a wine- warmer (see 2006-01104). Hot water is poured into the vessel to warm the cup, which is placed inside, in preparation for drinking rice wine. The practice of drinking from such cups was not a frequent event in a Perankan home as many older Peranakans today have no recollection of using wine warmers.
