This distinct looking fibre-glass chair appears to be inspired by Danish designer Vernor Panton's creations including the S-chair, the world's first moulded plastic chair. Such international design trends were popular in Singapore, with local companies such as South Sea Fibre Glass (Pte) Ltd distributing chairs with similar designs. The cleverly designed form of this chair shows a single piece cantilevered structure and with a bold profile. The receipt -part of this donation - shows that the donor paid South Sea Fibre Glass (Pte) Ltd a sum of SGD215 for the chair.
