This is a pair of brown leather pumps from Daimaru department store. It has tassle-like details on the front of the shoes. Daimaru opened in Singapore in 1983 at Liang Court and it offered a wide variety of products. The popularity of Japanese products among the local middle class and the presence of a sizeable Japanese community in Singapore led to the opening of other Japanese department stores in Singapore in second half of the 20th century.
