This photograph taken by Tan Lip Seng, depicts the now demolished Cockpit Hotel decorated with flags for National Day celebrations. Built in 1972, the hotel was characterised by fan-shaped windows and wrought iron balconies.Tan Lip Seng started his career as a medical photographer at the National University of Singapore. He is famous worldwide for his work on contemporary slides and travel photography.
