‘Ride The Pink Horse’ film poster

‘Ride The Pink Horse’ is a 1947 American film starring Robert Montgomery and Wanda Hendrix. American films streamed into Singapore and Malaysia in the 1920s and the number grew tremendously over the years. By the late 1930s, Hollywood films constituted 70 percent of the films shown here. The others were Chinese, Indian, Malay, British and European films. During this period, most European and English-language films were screened in more upmarket theatres such as Cathay, Capitol, Alhambra and Rex.
