The Swiss packaged food corporation Nestlé produced a widely consumed Milkmaid brand of sweetened condensed milk that came in tin cans. On the back of tin labels there were pictures of wild life found in Malaysia as part of a marketing campaign. This album, sold for collectors of the tin labels, belongs to a series of objects (accession nos. 2007-50972 to 51483) that document the lifestyle and consumption of a typical Chinese upper middle-class family in the mid 20th century.
