The White Rose Cafe was an eatery inside the York Hotel situated along Mount Elizabeth Road in the Orchard area. The cafe gained a reputation in the 1980s for its Penang Hawker Fest buffet, which featured famous Penang hawker food such as (clockwise, starting from bottom) ‘ju her eng chai’, Penang ‘laksa’, ‘ice-kachang’, ‘rojak’, prawn noodles and ‘char kuay teow’.
