This calligraphy by Amir Hossein Zekrgoo features the title 'Al-Maajid' which means The Most Glorious, one of the divine attributes mentioned in the holy Qur'an. It is written in stylised 'Naskh' script and adorned with bird and human motifs with a Persian poetry in 'Nasta'liq Shekasteh' style and decorated with golden motif, 'khamsa', and stylised birds.The artist, Professor Dr. Amir Hossein Zekrgoo is an internationally renowned scholar of art and has been engaged in teaching art, history of art, philosophy of Eastern and Islamic arts, and comparative studies in religious and sacred arts since 1982. His works reflect the cultural influences, colour and history of Islamic civilisations throughout West Asia, Central Asia, South Asia and Southeast Asia.
