Postcard with an undivided back

Situated at the crossroads of trade, steamers brought mail and passengers from all over the world to Singapore, and vice versa. The picture postcard was first introduced to Singapore in 1897 and was priced at 3 cents a card. Early picture postcards featured real photographs pasted onto postal stationery postcards, with an undivided back. By 1905, hand-tinted picture postcards were very common.
