This piece forms a part of a stone axe head found in a burial site in Nong Muang district, in Lopburi. Lopburi was a pre-historic site more than 1000 years ago and a major centre for Dvaravati culture in central Thailand. It was taken over by the kingdom of Angkor in Cambodia.
