Cast as two images joined back to back, Hanuman on one side and Garuda on the other representing the twin loyalists of Rama and Vishnu. Rama is the hero of the Indian epic Ramayana and an incarnation of Vishnu who takes him through the three worlds to the aid of his devotees. Tradition has it that wherever Ramayana is read, Hanuman is present. It must be noted that both Hanuman and Garuda served Rama with complete devotion. Both are endowed with supernatural abilities and miraculous powers. Garuda is a mythical divine bird and the vehicle of Vishnu. Highly respected and worshipped in his own right, Hanuman has a simian head and tail.
