This is a rectangular piece of red cotton cloth. It is possibly part of a larger piece of embroidery or beadwork. Since red is an auspicious colour for weddings and other religious ceremonies, this piece is probably part of a hanging used to adorn the four poster wedding bed or as part of an altar cloth for religious purposes.
