This is a decorative traditional belt worn by a lady during weddings and on special occasions. It is missing a belt buckle which was usually made out of silver. Belts like this often feature colourful motifs of flowers, birds, insects and mythical creatures. These motifs were often selected as they were auspicious fertility symbols that were blessings for the bride and bridegroom.
