This brown-glazed stem-dish has a flared rim and is decorated on the exterior with vertically incised grooves. The piece was made in Si Satchanalai, one of the twin royal cities in the Sukhothai period from the mid 13th to mid 15th century. Kilns in this region were some of the largest ceramic producers in Southeast Asia at this time.
