During the wedding reception, the bride and groom are seated on the grandly decorated ‘pelamin’ (dais). In the photo, the groom is wearing a ‘baju kurung’ (a loose long-sleeve shirt worn over trousers) with a ‘kain songket’ (a short sarong reaching the knees) and a ‘tajak’ (headdress). The bride is also wearing a ‘baju kurung’ (loose tunic worn over a sarong) and other accessories. The ‘kumpulan hadrah’, or percussion group, can be seen in the background of the photograph playing the ‘kompang’ (handheld drums). The bride and groom are surrounded by family and friends.
