This Dayak drum made of a hollow, wood cylinder is constricted at the middle, open at one end and closed at the other with a sheet of deer-skin. It is stretched by rattan attached to its edges and extends to a stout rattan ring woven about the contricted middle of the drum. The skin is tightened by inserting wedges under this ring.
