This is a cap-sleeved, knee-length cheongsam with an all over print of rose bouquets. The fairly high collar is lined with a plastic netted support. A figure-hugging piece, it was believed to be influenced by the nipped-in waist style of the 1950s introduced by the West. It is made of polyester, which is easier to maintain compared to silk, cotton, or brocade. This cheongsam was probably worn during the day.
