Shot on location in Singapore, ‘Rain Storm in Chinatown’ was one of the first films released by MP & GI Film Co. Ltd. Cathay had established the film company in 1956 to produce mainly Mandarin films in conjunction with the shift towards Chinese film production in Singapore’s studios in the mid-1950s.
