This kettle is in the shape of an elephant with its trunk as the spout. It is decorated with bands of stylised triangular bamboo shoot (pucuk rebung) motif around the lid.Kettles such as this were used to serve drinking water during weddings or festivals. It may have also been used to store water for washing the right hand after eating.
