Nonyas (Peranakan women) are fond of jewellery, which is worn as a display of wealth especially on ceremonial occasions. Some of the most exquisite jewellery was used during the Peranakan wedding ceremony. Aside from earrings, their accessories include necklaces, bracelets, anklets, rings, belts and buckles, kerosang (set of brooches on blouse) and hairpins.
