This pair of bed hangings feature floral motifs and is embellished with red, blue and green beads. Like the bed hangings of the Peranakan community, these are also shaped like neckties. However, the bed hangings of the Minangkabau people are usually decorated with floral patterns while those of the Peranakans are richly decorated with symbols of fertility such as flowers in full bloom and butterflies.
