This is a photograph showing the Cenotaph memorial. Designed by Denis Santry, an architect from Swan and MacLaren, the memorial was initially built to honour those who died in World War One but it later included those who had perished in World War Two as well. It was unveiled by the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VIII) on 31 March 1922.
