This black Hermès vanity case is made of leather. It has two gilt brass clasps, each bearing the imprint of ‘Hermès Paris’. The case opens to reveal a mirror lined with red leather on its lid and a base lined with red sanitised waterproof cotton.Hermès is a luxury French design house that was originally founded by saddler Thierry Hermès in Paris in 1837. Although best known for its exquisite hand-crafted leather goods, the design house has since expanded their production to include a full range of apparel, luggage and accessories. Its iconic Kelly bag was modelled on a saddle bag and was first launched in 1937. It was named after the American actress Grace Kelly in 1955.
