This is a 'labu', an earthenware water vessel with a rounded body and a long neck. Its name is derived from the gourd, a fleshy fruit of a creeping vine that since ancient times was hollowed out and dried for use as a water container. This type of ‘labu’ is typical of the style made in the state of Perak.
