Join us in shaping the Heritage Activation Node at Katong-Joo Chiat!

    The National Heritage Board invites Singapore-based interest/community groups and/or individuals to submit a proposal for heritage-related projects to be conducted at the Heritage Activation Node at Katong-Joo Chiat (HAN@K-JC) in 2024. HAN@K-JC aims to showcase year-round activities and programming that creatively explore and increase awareness of heritage and culture, engage the community, and activate shared public spaces of the K-JC neighbourhood.

    Projects can take on various formats, including but not limited to:

    • exhibition;
    • guided tour programme;
    • talk, lecture, and workshop;
    • screenings;
    • mural; or
    • temporary outdoor artwork installation.

    Your project proposal should focus on at least one of the following HAN programming priorities:

    1. Celebrate the history, significance, key figures and/or communities in Katong-Joo Chiat
    2. Reveal and promote new, or lesser-known, aspects of Katong-Joo Chiat’s heritage and culture
    3. Build new audiences that can appreciate the heritage and culture of Katong-Joo Chiat
    4. Present Katong-Joo Chiat’s heritage and culture in unique and/or innovative ways, such as through the use of technology to engage audiences and to provide them with agency to learn more about the precinct’s heritage.
