Invoices addressed to Masuri S.N from Pustaka Nasional

These invoices were issued to Singapore Malay poet Masuri SN by local publishing house Pustaka Nasional. Among the contents include an update on how many copies of Masuri’s poetry anthologies had been sold in 1972, the royalties he would receive, as well as payment balances.Pustaka Nasional started out as a bookshop on 40 Kandahar Street, and soon started publishing works in 1963, focusing on novels by local Malay writers and translations of Arabic treatises into Malay, often for use by madrasah (religious schools) students and teachers.
