Loh Yoke Foo with colleagues at Fairchild

This is a photograph of Loh Yoke Foo (right) with her colleagues at Fairchild Semiconductor in the 1980s. Fairchild was an American manufacturer of integrated circuits. It was one of the first MNCs to set up a factory in Singapore in 1969 as part of the nation’s industrialisation efforts. Loh worked the night shift, doing assembly and inspection work.
