Gift in memory of Mr Tan Swee Gim and Mdm Tay Swee Lan
This is a letterhead pad from the Mui Wah Dress Factory. The Mui Wah Dress Factory was established by Mr Tan Swee Gim in 1959. The factory was located at No.42 Carpenter Street. According to the donor, the factory specialised in children’s and women’s clothing, and their products were sold successfully in Singapore, Malaysia, Borneo, and South Africa. The factory closed in 1979.
