This look is part of Latika Balachander’s graduate collection, Blurred Bodies, which was inspired by her relationship with her grandmother. The colourful strips of fabric are sewn together to form an oversized silhouette, emulating the ability of human skin to morph, sag, and expand. The collection features the use of neoprene fabric to create voluminous shapes that shroud and encase the wearer.Latika Balachander is an Indian fashion designer. Graduating with a degree in Fashion Design and Textiles at LASALLE College of the Arts in 2020, she won the Men’s Folio Designer of the Year Award in the same year.
