These beaded slippers (kasot manek in Baba Malay) are embroidered with designs showing peacocks set against a black background with flowers. Evelyn Greaves (née Yeo) purchased the slippers in Singapore to match a custom-made sarong kebaya by Steven Ong, a designer from Kuala Lumpur.
