Gift of Antonio and May in loving memory of Leonie Theresa Daroya Koenitz.

This dress from Table Eight was owned by Leonie Koenitz, who was one of the first fashion models trained in Singapore at Joan Booty and Ruth Warner's Mannequin Training and Charm School, which opened in 1956. Table Eight was an Australian label founded by Geoffrey and Warwick Susskind in 1981. This striking dress is reflective of the maximalist sensibilities and aesthetic of late 1980s into the early 1990s, with bold shoulders and a high collar.
