Gift of Antonio and May in loving memory of Leonie Theresa Daroya Koenitz.

This Lanvin jacket was owned by Leonie Koenitz, who was one of the first fashion models trained in Singapore at Joan Booty and Ruth Warner's Mannequin Training and Charm School, which opened in 1956. Lanvin was founded in 1889 as a millinery by French designer Jeanne Lanvin, and is the oldest French fashion house still in operation today. After Jeanne Lanvin's death, her daughter took over the fashion house until 1950. Creative directors who led the house since then include Antonio Canovas del Castillo, Jules-François Crahay, and a niece of Jeanne Lanvin’s (by marriage), Maryll Lanvin. In 1989, Singapore Airlines launched new crew uniforms designed by the house of Lanvin.
