Gift of Antonio and May in loving memory of Leonie Theresa Daroya Koenitz.

This printed crepe dress from Mims was owned by Leonie Koenitz, who was one of the first fashion models trained in Singapore at Joan Booty and Ruth Warner's Mannequin Training and Charm School, which opened in 1956. Mims was a label started by Mimi Lee, which was active in the 1980s. By 1981, Mims had boutiques in Hong Kong and Hanoi and was lauded for its fashionable officewear for women. In 1985, Mims joined the Singapore delegation represented at Paris Fashion Week (known also as Pret) alongside nine other labels including Estabelle (by Esther Tay), Patricia Hi-Fashion (by Patricia Ho) and First Shop (Celia Loe and Bernard Loe).
