This is a Panasonic KX-F50 home facsimile (fax) machine produced in the 1990s. It allowed users to send scanned documents to each other via telephone transmission. It also included a telephone answering system that could record calls and could make photocopies.Fax machines were commonly used in offices in Singapore from the mid-1980s to 2000s for sending messages and documents, replacing teleprinter exchange (telex) machines. Some users also purchased smaller machines for use at home. The usage of fax machines decreased as more documents were sent via email instead.
