One of the earliest pieces from Bebe Seet, this green sarong is hand-drawn with floral batik. Unlike most traditional cotton batik, Bebe Seet added beads and sequins to this silk sarong that add lustre to the motifs, and is a nod to the craft of Peranakan beadwork.Bebe Seet is the founder of Rumah Bebe, a boutique that offers Peranakan cuisine and fashion. As a Singaporean, Peranakan designer specialising in beaded shoes and bags, she has also been conducting beading classes since 1995. She is well-known for reviving the art of Peranakan beadwork from the 1990s, and for having one of the most exquisite workmanship on Peranakan beadwork.
