Gift of Andrew Gn

This mini dress features floral embroidery, 3D organza flower appliqué, and a ruffle collar. The strips of lace with eyelet cutouts that form the fringed hem shows a more experimental side of Andrew Gn, but also reflect the attention to details and intricate embellishments that he is well-known for. This comes from the designer’s Spring/Summer 2017 collection that combines the rebel movement from the French Directory during the final years of 18th century, and the 1980s punk. Andrew Gn is one of Singapore’s most prolific fashion designers in history, achieving high levels of critical acclaim and industry success. He is the only Singaporean to be a constant feature of Paris Fashion Week since 1995. His creations are known for their elegant, feminine, maximalist aesthetics and are finely crafted, cross-cultural, and reflective of innovation in tradition in fashion. This work is part of his major gift back to Singapore.
