Selangor Pewter plaque presented to Mr Goh Chok Tong at the Pacific Economic Cooperation Conference (PECC) VIII on 20 May 1991

This plaque was presented to then-PM Goh Chok Tong at the Pacific Economic Cooperation Conference (PECC) VIII, which was held in Singapore on 20-22 May 1991. The meeting theme was “Pacific Response to Global Challenges”. In his keynote address, then-PM Goh gave his views on the issues facing the Asia-Pacific region, including the importance of China’s opening up, and the need for East Asia to have its own voice in the world economic system.
