Several graves at Bukit Brown Cemetery were decorated with painted ceramic tiles featuring idyllic scenes of foreign landscapes. They probably represented the wish of the family to create a pleasant and tranquil environment for the deceased. This set of painted tiles are more unusual as they have an additional border of moulded tiles framing the scene. The tiles have also been kept intact and are in a better condition than most of the other examples from exhumed graves. Although the owner of the grave is unknown as the tombstone was already damaged prior to the exhumation, these panels were probably installed in the 1960s as such tiles were frequently seen on the graves of people interred in that decade.
