Autobiographical Images is one of Pramuan Burusphat's largest series of work (30 prints), using the Kwik-print technology to make collages of both old and new photographs. Using images as symbols and metaphors, the series is a psychedelic diary that has become one of his most important works. The innovative use of a printing technology combined with the photographic medium resulted in works that challenged the existing use of photography in Thailand. The series is accompanied by a diary with Pramuan’s ideas and sketches. The autobiographical approach was also quite rare during the period when Thai artists often felt compelled to deal with the themes of nationalism or Thai-ness.
