Separate pieces of cotton were sewn together to form this set of hangings. They demonstrate a simple pattern of red stripes, fringed with batik borders. The batik contains a popular depiction of flowers and cruciforms among dotted lozenges. While it is not certain what these hangings where used for, it is possible that they were made for export as they do not seem to have been used by the Balinese.
