Written in Dutch, ‘How to make a Good Photo: a book for the amateur photographer’ was published by the Eastman Kodak Company in Batavia. The Eastman Kodak Company was established in 1892, and succeeded the company George Eastman first founded when he started producing dry plates for sale in Rochester, New York in 1880. The introduction of the Kodak camera in 1888 marked a milestone in the history of photography for it made photography accessible and affordable to millions of amateurs who were not professionally trained.
