1 silk twist

Silk twist was sometimes used in nyonya embroidery. Unlike silk floss, silk twist is spun and plied which results in a texture that is less smooth to the touch.Examples in this group demonstrate the variety of colours, thread and bead types available to embroiderers in Penang and Singapore.
